The Award in Education and Training (AET) is a Level 3 qualification designed for individuals who are new to teaching or training, or those who are currently delivering learning and wish to develop a recognised teaching qualification.
The course provides a strong foundation in the key principles of education and training, including the roles and responsibilities of teachers, creating inclusive learning environments, and understanding how assessment supports learner progress and achievement.
Throughout the course, learners will explore inclusive teaching and learning approaches, equality and diversity, safeguarding, and the different types and purposes of assessment used in education and training.
The programme is completed through online learning, with written questions and assignments to clarify understanding.
For the final assessment you will deliver and be assessed on a short teaching session.
On successful completion, learners will gain a nationally recognised accredited qualification that supports progression into teaching, training, or further education roles.
