KSL Academy Ltd – Terms & Conditions

  1. General

1.1 These Terms & Conditions apply to all courses, training programmes, masterclasses, and services provided by KSL Academy Ltd (“the Academy”).
1.2 By enrolling onto any course, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
1.3 The Academy reserves the right to update or amend these Terms at any time. The latest version will always be available upon request or on our website.

  1. Eligibility

2.1 By enrolling, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, or have consent from a parent or guardian.
2.2 You agree that all information provided is accurate and complete.

  1. Course Bookings & Payments

3.1 Full payment or a non-refundable deposit is required to secure your place on any course.
3.2 Course fees must be paid in full prior to gaining access to course materials or attending any training sessions.
3.3 Payment plans (if offered) must be adhered to.
3.4 Missed payments may result in suspension or removal from the course.
3.5 Failure to complete payments does not cancel your agreement, and the full outstanding balance remains legally payable.
3.6 The Academy reserves the right to refuse access to training where payment obligations are not met.

  1. Refund Policy

4.1 All course fees and deposits are non-refundable, unless otherwise stated.
4.2 Due to the nature of digital content, online courses are non-refundable once access has been granted.
4.3 Transfers for in-person or live training may be offered at the Academy’s discretion with a minimum of 7 days’ notice.
4.4 Failure to attend a course without notice (“no-show”) will result in loss of payment.
4.5 In the unlikely event that the Academy cancels a course, a full refund or alternative date will be offered.

  1. Course Access & Content (Online Learning)

5.1 Access to online courses is granted for the specified duration at the time of purchase.
5.2 All course content is provided under a non-transferable, non-exclusive licence for personal use only.
5.3 Course materials must not be copied, shared, reproduced, distributed, or resold.
5.4 Unauthorised use or distribution of course content may result in immediate termination of access and legal action.

  1. Course Prerequisites & Requirements

6.1 Certain courses require prior qualifications, experience, or certifications.
6.2 By enrolling onto a course, you confirm that you meet all stated prerequisites.
6.3 The Academy is not responsible for verifying your qualifications prior to purchase.
6.4 If you enrol onto a course without the required prerequisites, you do so at your own risk and will not be eligible for a refund.
6.5 The Academy reserves the right to refuse participation in practical training if you do not meet the required standards or prerequisites.

  1. Blended & Face-to-Face Training

7.1 Learners must complete all required online theory prior to attending practical sessions (where applicable).
7.2 Attendance at all practical sessions is mandatory to achieve certification.
7.3 The Academy reserves the right to refuse participation if a learner is deemed unprepared, unsafe, or unsuitable.

  1. Certification, Assessments & Student Responsibilities

8.1 Certification is issued only upon successful completion of all required elements, which may include:

  • Practical assessments
  • Case studies
  • Written or online assessments
  • Virtual/Zoom assessments

8.2 Learners must complete case studies within the specified timeframe.
8.3 Failure to complete required assessments may result in non-certification.
8.4 Additional assessment attempts may incur additional fees.

8.5 Student Responsibilities:

  • You are responsible for ensuring you meet all course requirements and deadlines
  • You are responsible for obtaining and maintaining adequate trainee insurance when carrying out any practical elements required to complete the course
  • You must follow all health, safety, and hygiene guidelines when performing treatments

8.6 Certification confirms completion of training only and does not guarantee insurance, licensing, or employment. It is the learner’s responsibility to check requirements with relevant insurers or regulatory bodies.

  1. Guest Educator Courses

9.1 Some courses may be delivered by independent guest educators hosted by the Academy.
9.2 While quality standards are maintained, guest educators are responsible for their course delivery and content.
9.3 These Terms & Conditions apply unless otherwise stated.

  1. Models (Training Treatments)

10.1 Models acknowledge that treatments are carried out by learners under supervision.
10.2 Treatments are offered at a reduced rate to reflect the training environment.
10.3 Results may vary and are not guaranteed.

10.4 Models must:

  • Complete consultation forms accurately and honestly
  • Disclose all relevant medical history
  • Follow all aftercare advice

10.5 Patch testing may be required prior to treatment.
10.6 The Academy reserves the right to refuse treatment if deemed unsuitable or unsafe.
10.7 No refunds will be issued for model treatments unless required by law.

  1. Health, Safety & Liability

11.1 Learners must ensure they meet all prerequisite qualifications before enrolling on advanced courses.
11.2 Learners are responsible for obtaining appropriate insurance before offering treatments to clients.
11.3 To the fullest extent permitted by law, KSL Academy Ltd accepts no liability for:

  • Loss of earnings
  • Business interruption
  • Loss of opportunity
  • Misuse or misapplication of techniques taught

11.4 All training is provided for educational purposes only. Responsibility lies with the learner once training has been completed.

  1. Code of Conduct

12.1 Learners are expected to behave professionally at all times.
12.2 Disruptive, unsafe, or inappropriate behaviour may result in removal from the course without refund.
12.3 Respect must be shown to educators, models, and other learners.
12.4 The Academy reserves the right to refuse admission or remove any individual deemed unsuitable or in breach of these standards.

  1. Intellectual Property

13.1 All course materials, content, branding, and intellectual property remain the property of KSL Academy Ltd.
13.2 Materials must not be copied, replicated, taught, or used to create competing courses or training programmes.
13.3 Unauthorised use may result in legal action.

  1. Data Protection

14.1 Personal data is processed in accordance with applicable UK data protection laws, including UK GDPR.
14.2 Information will be used solely for course administration, communication, and related services.

  1. Force Majeure

15.1 KSL Academy Ltd shall not be held liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations where such failure or delay results from events beyond its reasonable control.

15.2 Such events may include, but are not limited to:

  • Illness or incapacity of educators
  • Severe weather conditions
  • Fire, flood, or natural disasters
  • Government restrictions or legal requirements
  • Power outages or technical failures
  • Pandemics or public health emergencies

15.3 In such circumstances, the Academy reserves the right to:

  • Reschedule training
  • Provide alternative arrangements (including online delivery where appropriate)
  • Issue refunds only where required by law
  1. Governing Law

16.1 These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
16.2 Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

  1. Agreement

17.1 By enrolling onto any course with KSL Academy Ltd, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
